Club Events
Derby Athletic Club teams compete at all levels and age groups. Details here are of competitions available over the winter season 2022-23 (sportshall and cross country) and provisional dates for the summer 2023 track and field season.

Competition Information
Northern League
Our athletes, female and male, Masters to U17s, compete in the Northern League. Senior athletes are over 20 and can be of any ability, as long as they bring their very best efforts to any event they participate in for Derby Athletic Club.
Northern League dates for summer 2023:
- Saturday 20 May, Princess Royal Sports Arena, Boston
- Sunday 18 June, Moorways Stadium, Derby
- Sunday 9 July, Eco-Power Stadium, Doncaster
- Saturday 19 August, Sheffield Hallam Uni City Athletics Stadium

Derbyshire Mini-League
Mini-League is organised by Derbyshire Athletics and is run for U11s to U15s. Three competition formats for all athletes aged 9 and older, SportsHall Athletics, Cross Country, Track and Field.

Youth Development League Lower
YDL Lower is a league for U13 and U15 athletes.
Meetings planned for 2023:
- Sunday 7 May
- Saturday 3 June
- Saturday 8 July
- Saturday 22 July (Regional Final – if DAC qualify)
Points for the team are won through athletes’ performances. The team is selected from those athletes who have announced their availability.
Team managers will choose the team (two athletes per event) and publish this ahead of the event. If members are available, they should sign up in the DAC clubroom or contact their team manager. Youth Development League Upper
YDL Upper is a league for U17s and U20s. Points for the club are based on your performances.

- Sunday 25 June
- Sunday 30 July (Regional Final – if DAC qualify)

Open events
There are various open events which DAC athletes are welcome to enter. There is an additional cost involved for open events and entries must be submitted before the event deadline.
Open events typically include:
Derby Athletics Development Association (DADA) track and field evening events at Moorways (for entry details go to the run-jump-throw website) – usually held on Tuesday evenings, throughout the summer season.
Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire County Championships, usually held over a weekend in May.
Final dates for these events are TBC.
Cross country and road races
The club supports the North Midlands Cross Country Leagues throughout the winter months (October to January).
This league offers races for Seniors/Masters, U17, U15, U13 and U11 for both females and males.
Teams are entered in to the Northern and National Cross Country Championships (including relays) in all age groups and both sexes.
Teams are also entered in to the Northern and National Road Relays in September/October and April.
In September/October Senior Men race over six stages, Senior Women over four stages and U17s, U15s, and U13s race over three stages.
In the April relays the men’s team comprises 12 stages (they qualify for the Nationals via the Northern) and the women’s six stages (they can enter the Nationals direct without having to qualify).
