Athletes log PBs in latest DADA track event

Derby Athletic Club athletes made the most of calm cool (though somewhat wet!) conditions to log PBs in the latest DADA track event on 18 June.

Showing strongly in the sprints, Thomas Silcock (u17) and Karanjot Singh (u15) both bagged PBs in the 100m and the 200m.

As ever, DAC looked positive in middle distance, fielding a good number of athletes across the age groups for the 1500m. PBs for many of them, including Ben Cook, George Stock and Ruby Davies among others in the u13 race, and in the mixed-age races, Charlie Haste, Sam Sawczuk-Wood, Jack Davies, Ernie Cresswell, Corey Rose and Lillie Jeffries-Williams, just a few of some very impressive athletes on the night.

The final race of the night saw Sonny Jamieson finishing strongly to win with a PB, with Derby athletes Bethan Hudson and Polly Edwards also gaining PBs in that race.

DADA stands for Derby Athletics Development Association, and over the summer it is staging a series of five evening track-only meetings at Moorways Stadium.

The Tuesday evening meetings are aimed at U13 up to masters athletes, and offer graded races including sprints, middle and long distance. The final two of the summer are on 16 July and 13 August, starting at 7pm and finishing around 9pm.
