Christmas puddings and hampers for DAC runners

While Derby Athletic Club members were gaining all the prizes in the Derby 10-mile race, other Derby AC members were busy sweating bits and pieces off to earn Christmas puddings at the 10k Matthew Walker Pudding Run.

Notable and honourable mentions (on a muddy, cold and excessively hilly course) go to:

Chrissie Dover who was second woman home, secured her 10k PB with 38:37 and won the vets class and a hamper;

Russell Parkin who stormed home in 38.32, won his age group, came 10th overall and also won a hamper;

George Kirkman who came 19th in a well judged 39 minutes dead;

Amanda Young who came seventh in her age group, in 47.06;

Mick Butterly who came fourth in his age group, and finished in 1:02.45;

Imogen Moorland, doing her first 10k, who came 25th in her age group in 53.40, and her mum Dawn Morland who finished in 1:07.40;

And Rob Dover, our YDL team manager, who completed his first 10k race in 1:19.29 – and is unlikely to stop going on about it…
