Senior Women’s success at northern cross country
The club’s Senior Women were successful at the Northern cross country championships at Bedale in North Yorkshire on 25 January on a tough and muddy course.
The Senior Women finished 8th overall, their highest position for many years, beating some big established teams:
Lisa Palmer-Blount was 30th
Chrissie Dover was 33rd
Charlotte Reading was 61st
Rebecca Miller was 65th
The club’s only Senior Man to race, Chris Jordan, ploughed his way through the mud finishing 378th.
Jack Davies, U17 Men, running at the bottom of the age group, finished in a very creditable 24th.
Results for the U15 Girls:
Jessica Robertson Dover finished 62nd
Annabelle Ita 103rd
Imogen Moorland 147th
For the U15 boys, Paddy Welsh had a strong run finishing 32nd, Drew Birkett continues his good form coming home 88th and Charlie Haste came home in a competitive 110th.
For the U13 Girls, Sophie Robertson Dover finished in a credible 37th as a bottom age athlete, supported by Bethany Dye 103rd and Ruby Davies 123rd.
