Use of Images on our Website

Firstly, huge credit to Chris at Athletic Photography, whose photograph is featured on our Home Page.  I also offer my thanks to Chris for identifying his image and liaising with Kevin Winson in order to ensure correct credit was provided for the image which was passed to the development team as part of a batch which we believed at the time to be either “owned” (in photographic terms) by members or were open source files.  Thanks chaps!

Chris’ Facebook and YouTube channels are now available to access directly through our “useful links” page and we’d all hope that this slight debacle will result in a great working relationship with Chris going forward.

For everyone’s attention

When providing any image for publication on this site, you must ensure that you have the express permission of the owner of the rights to said image.  If you are able to secure this in written form, all the better, as we can then record those permissions alongside the image.

If the image(s) are your own (i.e. taken with your personally owned Box Brownie. Kodak Instamatic or Leica, whatever) and you’d like us to add them to a gallery somewhere, then please pop them into an e-mail (in as high a resolution as possible) with your consent to use them!

We are currently putting a new Membership Application form together that will enable new members to provide permission for images to be used by the club(including Parental Consent – everyone should have been asked about this in the past and we will try to work our way through the Club Membership over time in an effort to secure permissions (or not, as the case may be) and record them properly.
