Success in Northern Road Relays
Athletes from Derby posted some great results in the Northern Road Relays in Manchester at the weekend.
In the U13 girls’ event, first year runners Sophie Robertson-Dover 14.23 and Ruby Davies 14.27 were in 10th position but unfortunately the team was incomplete so they were unable to finish.
The U15 boys did magnificently and finished 11th. Corey Rose got taken out 10metres into the race and recovered to run the 23rd fastest time of the day with 11.55 (over 3.5kms), whilst Paddy Welsh and Ben Stevenson both ran 12.26 and equal 43rd fastest leg.
The club fielded one team and one incomplete team in the U15 girls’ event. The complete team finished 28th overall, with Jessica Robertson-Dover coming in 14th at the first leg with 13.24, Imogen Morland 15.45, and Amy Rouse, 15.23.
The incomplete U15 female side came in 48th after their two legs, Isabella Rouse 15.37 and Phoebe Harrison 16.33.
And there was a fantastic top 10 finish for the Senior Women’s team, with Molly Hudson and Alice Crane competing in their first senior relays accompanied by Bethan Hudson and Becca Miller to finish 9th overall.
