Hannah to throw javelin for England

Derby Athletic Club’s Hannah Barnden is delighted to have been chosen to compete for her country.

Promising javelin thrower Hannah is one of two girls nationally chosen to throw for England in Dublin at the U18 Youth Nations Cup on Saturday (3 August).

Hannah will be looking to build on her success in English Schools, where she finished fifth out of 16 in a challenging senior girls final.

She wanted to thank all her DAC supporters and coaches, and those who helped her throw the qualifying distance, especially Steve Palmer, Suzzanne Palmer, Paul Martin, Paul Blakey and Barry Parker, as well as her current coach David Turner.
