Photographs for this site – Your help is needed!

When we launched this site a couple of weeks ago, we only had a few images available to us that we were permitted to use (signed permissions and/or image rights/copyright permissions) which, for obvious reasons, we were obliged to use until we located some others.

That situation remains the same, despite a fairly recent (and ultimately fruitless) appeal for image permission to be provided by parents by one of our Committee Members.

SO, seeing as we don’t want to clog the site up with thousands of long-distance pictures of unidentified athletes (which we can use quite freely) we’d like YOU, our members and parents of members, to send in images to webmaster.derbyac@gmail.com, along with written permission to use each individual image (so if you send in three pictures, please label them by number and detail each number in the permission message.  We will maintain a strict record of all images and associated permissions, as we hope to have enough provided to rotate them around so the site doesn’t get “stale”.

Get sending them thar photos in, peeps!

If you could copy and paste these words into the permission message, it keeps it all nice and clear for everyone and we all use the same message!:

“I [INSERT NAME] permit the attached image(s) number(s) [INSERT NUMBERS] where my child [INSERT NAME] is shown, for use by Derby Athletic Club* on its website and other promotional media”

*DERBY ATHLETIC CLUB WILL NOT FORWARD ANY IMAGE TO ANY THIRD PARTY AT ANY TIME – THE IMAGE RIGHTS REMAIN THE PROPERTY OF THE PHOTOGRAPHER AND WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY
